I Sea Sun

 

 Many thanks to a fellow artisan, who kindly shared her art with me in these two beautiful colored pieces of dichroic glass!  The top round piece is the gorgeous colors of the ocean, reminding me of warm tropical waters,  and the diamond shape has all the oranges and golds of a Caribbean sunset.  Brought together in a double setting of .925 silver wire, this pendant always cheers me up when I look at it, and it goes with absolutely everything!  Measuring 2.5 inches long, and approx 1/2 inch in width, this is fun, colorful, and very unusual.

Goldfire Pendant

 

 Stunning pendant, featuring a very sparkly piece of fools gold (iron pyrite), wrapped in heavy .925 silver.  Because the shape was so unique, I decided not to trap the whole stone, but to allow a bit of one tip to ‘escape’ from the setting.  Pendant measures 2.5 inches top to bottom, and about 2.5 inches across at the point where the stone extends free from the setting.

Warm Fire Pendant and Necklace

Warm Fire Necklace

This is one of those necklaces I’m very tempted to keep for myself, as I fell in love with the clear glowing red/orange color with the striping of yellow and brown fading to black of the pendant, and the glow of the beads with their veins of cream.  Fire agate is a stone that really came on the market in the past year, and I was lucky enough to find these stones at the very beginning.

The circular pendant is 1 3/4 inches across, it was so much a stone that stood by itself the only wire work on it is a tiny double spiral at the bottom and the double round bail at the top.  The twenty four fire agate beads all show the beautiful mottling of the stone, and are joined by handmade links of 14K goldfilled wire, with a vermeil toggle clasp linking them at the back.

This stone always makes me think of dragons, and what their skin would look and feel like if you should happen to get close enough to touch one.

The "Everything" Bangle

Beautifully chunky, this bangle bracelet was made by twisting various types, shapes, and weights of sterling silver and 14K gold filled wire around a sterling silver wire base.  The intricate detailing was created by twisting wire around wire, around more wire, until large ‘beads’ of metal were formed, and sparkling accents of swarovski crystals, lilac amethyst beads, and antique glass beads were added.  This particular bangle comes in whites, mauves and violet, but your own unique bracelet can be made in your preferred colors.  As all bracelets are handmade one at a time by the artist, no bracelet will ever be identical to another, creating something unique to the owner.

Smoky Quartz Necklace

Rich deep brown 10 mm smoky quartz beads are the gemstone featured in this gorgeous necklace.  The National gemstone of Scotland and belongingto the astrological signs of Capricorn and Taurus, smoky quartz is thought to be lucky for foresters and gardeners.

Designed with the same herringbone pattern of silver wire as the Winter Queen pearl set, this necklace measures 18 inches long, not including its vines and leaves toggle fastening. Matching earrings of smoky quartz with 2mm accent beads complete the set (hooks can be changed to posts if desired).

Coolly elegant, this handmade necklace of sterling silver and 10mm freshwater pearls is great for a winter bride.  Large pearls with a beautiful lustre are surrounded by a delicate herringbone weave of silver wire.  Matching earrings with smaller 6mm freshwater pearl accents complete this set. Fall Fantasy

A gentle reminder that fall is here, and a delicate tribute to the gorgeous foliage of autumn.  A carved mother of pearl leaf with peach as the dominant color is the centerpiece of this necklace, with smaller leaves of peach, lavender, and white stone (carnelian and agate) echoing up the necklace.  The lower leaves are complemented by matching fresh water pearls in peach and lavender.  Suspended on a 14K goldfilled chain with a delicate hook clasp, this handmade original measures 24″, great for over a sweater or blouse!

Ancient civilizations such as the Egyptians used hematite and other reflective stones as mirrors, hence the name of this pendant. The word Hematite comes from the Greek word haimatites, meaning blood, and was said to offer invulnerability to soldiers in battle and confidence when addressing kings, judges and lawsuits. It is an Aquarian birthstone, and the anniversary stone for the 11th year of marriage.

The stone in this pendant measures 1 inch in width, and 1.5 inches in length, and is set in an openwork handmade setting of sterling silver. Including the handmade bail it is three inches long.

Gorgeous Triple Stone Cat’s Eye necklace, in lapis blue.  Three fibre optic stones, two medium sized and one large handset in sterling silver with a very fine double chain.  This new creation is finished with a medium width single chain and a heart shaped toggle clasp and is 18″ in length.

Malachite is the gemstone for 13th anniversary, and is thought to bring harmony and patience into the owners life.  The guardian or protective stone of travellers, it is also thought to provide protection.
