Copper, Hematite, and Aventurine Viking Knit Necklace

The art of the Viking Knit goes back thousands of years, and has lately experienced a resurgence of interest. Woven with fine wire made with this techniques is as supple as silk, but is strong and made to last.  The necklace shown is 20″ long, woven of tarnish resistant copper wire, with  patterned copper endcaps and lobster clasp closure.  Beads of deep green aventurine embellish one side, with hematite making a dark and shiny statement on the other. 

Hematite is believed to be a healing and grounding stone, strengthening the body and relieving stress.  Aventurine is considered to be a lucky talisman and is also supposed to reduce stress and enhance creativity.
